The Youshan River Scenic Area is located in the northeast of Dafang County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, with a long history. It is situated at the junction of Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Chongqing, spanning 9 administrative villages in Yuchong and Xingsu townships of Dafang County. It is planned to have 33 scenic spots in 8 major tourist areas, covering an area of 67 square kilometers. It is 46 kilometers away from the county seat of Dafang and 198 kilometers away from the provincial capital of Guiyang. With the support of the Chengdu Guiyang high-speed railway, Bijie Feixiong Airport, and Hangrui Expressway, it provides convenient conditions for tourism development. The Youshan River Basin consists of three main rivers, the Houhe River, the Youshan River, and the Yuchong River, as well as dozens of streams. It is one of the several rivers belonging to the Chishui River Basin and the Wujiang River Basin in Dafang County. Looking at the Youshan River Scenic Area from the map, the Houhe River and the Youshan River intersect at Liangcha River, forming a huge oracle bone script - the character "human", symbolizing the unity of man and nature, and the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. The scenic spot is mainly composed of strange peaks, beautiful waters and original forest resources, which can be described as "raising the head of Zhangjiajie and lowering the head of Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area". The scenic area is extremely rich in biological resources, with well preserved forest vegetation and 1509 rare wild plants and 102 wild animals. The forest coverage rate is 82%, with an annual average temperature of 13.6 ℃ and a maximum negative oxygen ion content of 60000 per cubic centimeter. It is an ideal destination for natural sightseeing, ecological experience, health preservation, scientific exploration, summer leisure and other activities. The Youshanhe Scenic Area is located in a low latitude and high altitude area, with warm winters and cool summers, frequent rainy and foggy days, and obvious microclimate characteristics. It presents a three-dimensional mountain climate of "ten miles with different days", with an annual sunshine of over 250 days. It is one of the most suitable tourist destinations in the southwest region, and is also a leisure vacation and summer health resort. The altitude of most scenic spots is between 1350-1650 meters, with the lowest point being the Liangcha River at the intersection of the Houhe River and the Youshan River, at an altitude of 780 meters. The highest peak, the Cross Ridge, has an altitude of 1911.2 meters, with a relatively large height difference, forming a magnificent atmosphere of cliffs, deep valleys, high mountains and low waters, and large ups and downs. It belongs to a typical karst peak cluster with grooves and valleys, rich in geological landscapes, full of mysterious personality colors, unique landscapes, and changing scenery step by step. It can be said to be an "ecological health resort, a secret land of the Youshan River". The Youshan River Scenic Area has won four national level titles (National Forest Park, National AAAA Tourist Attraction, China's Most Beautiful Leisure and Vacation Tourism Destination, and China Aquatic Germplasm Resources Protection Area), five provincial level titles (Guizhou Ecotourism Resort, Guizhou Sports Training Base, Provincial Rural Tourism Poverty Alleviation Demonstration Site, Guizhou Ecological Civilization Education Base, and the Most Beautiful Scenic Spot in the Nine Western Provinces and Regions), and three municipal level titles (Bijie City's "Top Ten Scenic Spots", Bijie City's "Excellent Tourist Attraction", and Bijie City's "Literary and Artistic Creation Base").
